&Beyond plans sole-use villa in Kenya

Following the opening of &Beyond Suyian Lodge, the group has announced plans to launch &Beyond Suyian Homestead as an exclusive-use, five-suite private lodge within the 44 000 acre Suyian Conservancy in northern Kenya.

Opening in June 2027, &Beyond Suyian Homestead has been designed for small groups, couples or multi-generational families. It will accommodate up to 11 guests in a Master Suite and four Suites, including one with a triple configuration. It will have a dedicated team of 13 staff members together with two private guides and two six-seater 4x4 safari vehicles.

It will be set about 10 minutes from &Beyond Suyian Lodge for guests’ privacy while using selected lodge facilities.

&Beyond Suyian Homestead has been designed by Nicholas Plewman Architects in collaboration with Michaelis Boyd, drawing inspiration from the surrounding granite kopjes. Interiors are by Fox Browne Creative with focus on plaster, reclaimed timber, stone and bronze including Kenyan-crafted furniture, Samburu artefacts, beadwork and antiques.

Activities include private game drives and guided walking safaris. The conservancy is known for its biodiversity, including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, African wild dog and occasional sightings of black leopard. Guests can also explore the landscape through camel experiences, horseback riding, catch-and-release fishing, helicopter flights and cattle ranching.
