Virunga Lodge in northern Rwanda, part of the Volcanoes Safaris collection, has opened a new spa.

Ikirunga Spa has two treatment rooms complete with open fireplaces, a wood-burning sauna where temperatures vary between 75 and 85 degrees Celsius, and relaxation zones.

The spa overlooks the Virunga Mountains and decor celebrates traditional Rwandan artwork, including colour plates and other local pieces of art.
