Parking for tour operators at JKIA clarified

Tour operators have a designated parking area at the airport, available for 30-minute slots.

The Kenya Association of Tour Operators (KATO) has clarified the parking situation at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

Following the establishment of a designated tour operators’ parking area, KATO has continued to monitor the situation at the airport. It told members in a communique that tour operators were allowed to park in the designated area for a maximum of 30 minutes. However, as vehicles in this area must not be left unattended, driver-guides must park elsewhere and only enter the pick-up area once it has been confirmed that their guests are ready to depart the airport.
