Africa Albida Tourism confirms Director appointments
Africa Albida Tourism has appointed Andrew Conn as Operations Director and Anald Musonza as Sales and Marketing Director from July 1.
Both are longstanding members of the Africa Albida Tourism team.
Conn will oversee operational performance across the group’s hospitality portfolio while Musonza will lead sales and marketing strategies.
Africa Albida Tourism Chairman Dave Glynn said both appointments recognise the pair’s long-standing contributions to the business and their role in supporting its strategic objectives and growth initiatives.
Ker & Downey Africa appoints North America Sales Director
Ker & Downey Africa has appointed Craig Heider as Sales Director for North America.
Heider joins the company with experience gained across luxury travel brands, including Abercrombie & Kent. Prior to taking up the role, he spent more than a month travelling with the Ker & Downey Africa team across Southern and East Africa.
“From time spent with the team in Cape Town to educational travel across the region, every part of the onboarding process was designed to immerse me in the destination,” said Heider.
Ker & Downey Africa CEO Jeff Squire said Heider’s appointment reflects the company’s continued investment in the North American market.
President Hotel announces Board appointments
The President Hotel in Cape Town has appointed Shirley Zinn and Enver Duminy to its Board as it marks 260 years of hospitality at the Bantry Bay property.
Zinn brings experience in leadership, governance and human resources from executive positions at Woolworths, Standard Bank, Nedbank and the South African Revenue Service. She currently serves as Chairperson of the V&A Waterfront and Wesgro.
Duminy is CEO of Cape Town Tourism and has worked across tourism, technology, financial services and business strategy.
“We are pleased to welcome Shirley Zinn and Enver Duminy to the Board,” said The President Hotel Board Chairman Jeff Closenberg.
The hotel also recently appointed Nikki Vardan as General Manager after a decade in senior leadership roles at the property.
Wolwedans welcomes Executive Hospitality Manager
Wolwedans has appointed Selma Simaneka Benyameni as Executive Hospitality Manager.
Benyameni returns to the Namibian tourism company nearly two decades after joining the Wolwedans Desert Academy as a trainee in 2007. She most recently held senior leadership positions with Wilderness.
In her new role, she will oversee hospitality operations and guest experience across the Wolwedans collection.
