The Peech Boutique Hotel in Melrose, Johannesburg, has undergone major renovations, doubling in size.

With the purchase of an adjoining property three years ago, the hotel has been able to add 16 new luxury rooms, taking its total to 32 rooms, including a two-bedroom luxury villa. The rooms were designed with the property’s gardens in mind, with the new rooms designed as pavilions “floating in the garden”.

Each pavilion has two rooms, upstairs and downstairs, with glass doors that open on to private patios or terraces. The rooms are decorated with artwork inspired by Johannesburg, including archival images, drawings and maps.

The new rooms will be available for occupancy from December 15. The hotel has plans to add a second restaurant and wine bar in 2019.
