National Aviation Services (NAS) and RwandAir, in a joint venture (NAS RwandAir Limited), have announced that construction of two new airport lounges at Kigali International Airport (KIA) have been completed, with plans to officially unveil them in the next few days.
The companies entered into the joint venture in June, when they announced the construction and development of the RwandAir Dream Lounge, dedicated to the airline’s premium passengers, and an arrivals lounge. In addition, the joint venture saw NAS RwandAir Limited take over management of the existing NAS Pearl Lounge in the departures area which caters for other airline passengers as well.
In an interview with The New Times, Denise Rwakayija, the company’s GM said the new lounges would complement the existing Pearl Lounge, which did not have enough capacity to handle the increasing traffic.
