Travellers are advised that the border crossing between Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and Livingstone, Zambia, will be closed from 22h00 on July 6, to 09h00 on July 7.
This is due to the annual Econet Victoria Falls Marathon, which sees approximately 450 runners taking part in the 42.2km run from the car park across from the Post Office in Victoria Falls to the fields of the Victoria Falls Primary School.
The marathon route will be completely closed during this time, with no traffic – either vehicles or on foot – permitted to cross the border.
