W Cape casino gets an upgrade

THE Grandwest Casino and Entertainment World in the Western Cape is currently undergoing a R450m upgrade, which could be completed by October 2007.

The current casino floor will become the non-smoking casino with an additional 5 000sqm being built on as a smoking casino, Salon Privé and dining facility. The casino’s car park and fastfood court are also being extended.

The entertainment facilities will be stepped up with the addition of a multi-purpose 5 000-seater arena for events, launches and conferences. A new ten-pin bowling alley is also being built and is expected to open in August.
