Great Plains Conservation is introducing yoga retreats at ol Donyo Lodge in southern Kenya. Wild Studio Yoga will take place over four days, beginning either November 30 or December 4.
The retreats will include therapeutic meditation and yoga sessions at sunrise and sunset overlooking Mount Kilimanjaro, and daily workshops to add to guests’ knowledge of yoga.

The package includes meals and drinks. Additionally, in between sessions guests can enjoy the activities normally offered at ol Donyo Lodge that have been adapted to the retreat, such as silent, guided safaris, horse riding, cycling or exploration of lava tunnels. Day and night game drives are also available.
The Wild Studio Yoga programmes will be conducted by Great Plains guest Binita Shah.

As a guest at Mara Plains Camp two years ago, Shah offered to teach yoga to anyone at the camp, including staff members and fellow guests. When Shah returned to ol Donyo Lodge and did the same, she was then invited to conduct the Wild Studio Yoga programme.
The four-night package is $2 607 (€2 219) per person and includes meals, drinks and activities. ol Donyo Lodge encourages yoga practitioners to bring their non-yoga practicing partners along to enjoy the area.
