Minor Hotels’ Anantara Hotels & Resorts will launch its first safari tented camp, Anantara Kafue River Tented Camp, in April 2026.
Located above the Kafue River in Zambia’s Kafue National Park, the camp will be built 3.5 metres above the ground on rosewood timber platforms with a design that minimises environmental impact by protecting seasonal water flow and allowing wildlife to move freely below.
The property will feature 10 villas and three Horizon Terrace Suites – all offering elevated river views and outdoor living spaces. Designed by MRS Studio, the interiors combine locally sourced materials and organic textures with contemporary design.
Culinary experiences will centre on local, sustainably sourced produce with the signature restaurant, riverside bar and boma-style fireside area offering dishes inspired by the region. Private bush dinners will also be available.
The Anantara Spa will incorporate outdoor wellness spaces, guided yoga and stargazing sessions while safari activities will include game drives, river safaris, canoeing and birdwatching.
