As part of Tourism Month celebrations, South African Tourism held the Sho’t Left Travel Week at the start of September, with suppliers offering up to 50% discounts.
Industry has, however, indicated that it did not lead to significant increases in bookings, with 86% of readers voting the week did not lead to a rise in bookings for their businesses.
Only 14% said it had resulted in an increase in bookings.
