Erinvale opens new restaurant

Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa has announced the launch of Bloom, a new 30-seat signature restaurant celebrating South African flavour and design. The restaurant complements the estate’s existing dining venues, Oak Terrace Bistro and Magnolia Social Dining Lounge, and takes inspiration from the indigenous gardens surrounding the Somerset West property.

Designed by Bone Studio, Bloom features murals, art installations and floral table accents made from indigenous materials.

Executive Chef Sebastian Smith leads the kitchen with focus on seasonality and sustainability. Working with small-scale farmers and local artisans, he reinterprets South African staples through a contemporary lens. Each dish reflects heritage, drawing on Cape Malay influences and the produce of the Cape Winelands.

“With Bloom, we set out to create a dining space that feels rooted and refined,” says Debbie-Lee Cockrell, MD of Elleke Collection. “It’s inspired by the natural rhythm of our gardens – ever-changing yet always grounded in beauty and purpose. Every detail, from the menu to the design, reflects our commitment to creativity, seasonality and authentic hospitality.”

The menu will evolve with the seasons, offering new dishes throughout the year and is open to hotel guests and day visitors.
