Experience Zimbabwe on a high-tea steam safari

Guests can enjoy breath-taking views of the Victoria Falls while sipping tea.

Bushtracks Africa has recently introduced a High Tea Steam Safari to its Bushtracks Express offering.

Steam trains are a unique and romantic way to experience some of the Zimbabwean countryside.

Guests can indulge in a renowned Victoria Falls Hotel high tea prepared by first-class chefs, which includes an array of delicious finger foods and beverages – all this while experiencing the beauty of the Zimbabwe landscape.

General Manager of Bushtracks Zimbabwe, Simon Tweede, says: “This allows clients to experience a safari in an entirely different and unique way. The package includes a trip to the Victoria Falls bridge and through Jafuta Conservancy, home to several species of wildlife. The opulently-decorated carriages, combined with Victoria Falls Hotel’s famous high tea, provide a luxurious and romantic way to experience what the African bush has to offer. This is the only product of its kind in the region, which makes it a special and exciting experience for tourists. The High Tea package is exclusively aimed at large groups, therefore its uniqueness will hopefully attract larger groups of travellers to the Victoria Falls region.”

Departing from Victoria Falls Station, the steam train takes visitors on a trip on to the famous Victoria Falls Bridge, followed by a wildlife safari, and ending at the Jafuta conservancy, before returning to the station.

A selection of finger foods is prepared by private chefs on board the train.

Running for approximately three hours, from 15h00 to 18h00 every day of the week, the High Tea Steam Safari takes a minimum of 30 guests, but can also be hired exclusively for a minimum group of 50 guests.

It is a uniquely African way to experience high tea.

Friendly staff are the cherry on top of this magical experience.
