The East African Safari Air Express Ltd, trading as FlySax, resumed flights between Nairobi and Kitale in Kenya on Thursday (June 21), after suspending operations on the route following a fatal accident.

The accident occurred on June 5 in the Aberdares and claimed the lives of ten people, including two crew members, on a 12-seat Cessna Caravan.

FlySax resumed operations from Wilson Airport, deploying a larger, twin-engine Dash 100 Bombardier to service the route, reports Kenyans.co.ke.

The twin-engine aircraft can carry 37 passengers compared with the 12-seat Cessna Caravan. Furthermore, the new aircraft will complete the trip in 50 minutes compared with the Cessna Caravan’s 75 minutes.
