Garden Town Stellenbosch returns from October 31 to November 9. Organised by Visit Stellenbosch, the event will again feature the Stellenbosch Garden Show and Market as its centrepiece set against the backdrop of the Stellenbosch Town Hall.
The Garden Market will host over 60 stalls offering indoor and outdoor plants, rare indigenous species, botanical décor and artisanal food products. Visitors can enjoy tea and cake at the on-site tea garden.
Award-winning landscape designers will showcase immersive gardens including:
- Life Green Group, recipients of the 2025 SALI Double Gold Award and Trophy for Best Interior Plantscaping Project, presenting sustainable interior designs
- Alan Dawson Gardens, 2025 SALI Gold and Overall Winner of the SALI Awards of Excellence, featuring the acclaimed “House Venn Coniston” project
A series of workshops and talks will explore sustainable gardening, foraging and food systems with experts Loubie Rusch, Nikki Brighton and Sue Buckland leading the discussions.
Further highlights across the 10-day programme include mosaic art workshops, guided birding with Jacques Gilliomee, private tours of the Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden, the Garden Town Vineyard Run on November 8 and Zevenwacht 4x4 Wine Adventures through the Swartland Granite Renosterveld.
The annual Flower Parade on November 4 will see locals and visitors join a procession from Die Braak between 18h15 and 19h00 followed by the announcement of winners of the Mayoral Gardening Competition.
“Our vision for Garden Town is to create a space where sustainability, culture, wellness and beauty meet,” says Annemie Liebenberg, CEO of Visit Stellenbosch. “Whether you’re an avid gardener or simply someone who delights in nature, this celebration belongs to you.”
