Iberia has taken delivery of “Johannesburgo”, completing the order of 12 A330-200s as the airline continues with its fleet replacement process.
The A330-200s started arriving back in 2016, and are all named after cities related to Iberia, for example Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo, Buenos Aires, and Tokyo, among others.
“Johannesburgo” which is registered as EC-MUD, has been fitted with the airline’s new long-haul cabins, with 19 seats in Business class and 269 seats in Economy. Business class seats can unfold into 2m-long beds, all with direct aisle access, and have 39cm touch screens. Economy seats are 46cm wide, with individual 23 cm screens and adjustable headrests.
Passengers in both classes can enjoy the extensive entertainment programme, which has 70 new films every month, 11 television series and documentaries, almost 800 audio options, and 18 video games. There is also a special entertainment channel for children. WiFi is offered for both classes.
The new aircraft will operate to destinations in South Africa, as well as Latin America, the United States, and Asia.
Iberia has serviced a route to Johannesburg since August, 2016, and will continue to offer its three weekly flights.
