Incentive travel on the rise

The IRF found that budgets have increased and incentives are set to increase.

Incentive travel is set to pick up in 2016, according to the Incentive Research Foundation (IRF).

In a recent survey of incentive industry professionals, the IRF found that budgets have increased and incentives are set to increase in the coming months after being heavily affected by the global economic outlook.

According to the IRF, at least 67% of respondents said they are increasing their incentive travel budgets for 2016.

Another major trend that is being picked up on is that more and more incentive travel is across borders, while the ongoing strengthening of economies is set to impact positively on lead times.

The IRF study found that at least 45% of respondents were booking more than a year out, while another 41% said they book between seven and 12 months out.
