Just ahead of the festive season, the pitter-patter of little feet can be heard at Aquila Private Game Reserve in the Western Cape as they welcome a new rhino calf.

The calf was born on December 7 and the conservation teams have since managed to snap some pictures of the shy new-born and its very protective mother. The mother previously gave birth on the reserve almost exactly two years ago.
