Botswana’s Ministry of Environment and Tourism reinstated road access to the Moremi Game Reserve on April 13.
The public is advised of the following conditions within the reserve:
- The South Gate-Xakanaxa route is in fair condition and accessible to smaller vehicles.
- The Khwai-South Gate route remains challenging and visitors are urged to exercise caution when using this route.
- The Third Bridge area remains closed until conditions improve or alternative routes are identified.
Conditions on game drive routes have improved but have not fully recovered and drivers are urged to navigate the terrain carefully.
