New chapter for Emboo with Asilia

Emboo, in Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve, has become the latest addition to Asilia Africa’s portfolio of camps.

The 11-room tented camp, launched in 2019, is known for its sustainability initiatives, including Kenya’s first electric safari vehicle fleet, fully solar-powered operations and extensive recycling and reuse practices.

“From the very start, we spotted the Asilia Africa team out on safaris and noticed that they were on a similar path. Today, we are joining forces. Working together rather than as competitors, we strive towards a brighter, carbon-neutral future, sharing expertise and leveraging our strengths, and leaning into transparency and our eagerness to embrace innovation,” said Emboo CEO Valery Super.

Super stressed that the same staff team will remain employed at Emboo, supported by Asilia’s emphasis on guest service and training.

She said the partnership will also allow guests to easily access Asilia’s network of other lodges and camps in Kenya and Tanzania. Asilia’s first Uganda property – Erebero Hills – is due to open in August this year.
