Shenton Safaris has announced the launch of the newly redesigned Numbu Star Bed available exclusively to guests of Mwamba Bush Camp in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia.
Following Mwamba’s refurbishment in 2024, the Numbu Star Bed adds an overnight wilderness sleepout to the camp’s offering, allowing guests to spend the night on an elevated platform beneath open skies.
Set within an open savannah 15 minutes from the camp, the platform includes two levels:
- The lower deck features a fire pit, dining table and seating area for sundowners and private meals.
- The upper deck is equipped with a four-poster bed enclosed in mosquito netting with amenities including a plumbed toilet, vanity and outdoor bathtub.
Guests are escorted by a guide, and supported overnight by an armed scout and guide stationed nearby with radio contact.
