SA drops visas for Lithuania

South Africa has lifted visa requirements for citizens of Lithuania with immediate effect. Short-term visits of up to 90 days are now permitted without a visa.

According to a statement by the Lithuanian Embassy in South Africa, Lithuanian citizens will no longer need to send documents to the South African Embassy in Stockholm when applying for a visa or complete the e-visa application.

“The visa-free regime will open up new opportunities for our citizens to explore South Africa’s culture, impressive nature and establish business contacts. We hope that this step will contribute to the growth of traveller flows and even closer economic ties,” said Rasa Jankauskaitė, Ambassador of Lithuania to South Africa.
