Scandinavian Airlines, Virgin expand codeshare to SA

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has expanded its codeshare agreement with Virgin Atlantic to include Johannesburg and Cape Town – alongside Dubai and the Maldives.

As part of the agreement, SAS will place its SK code on selected flights from London Heathrow. The new codeshare flights will be available through SAS booking channels for travel with immediate effect.

“This expanded codeshare with Virgin Atlantic strengthens SAS’ offering to business and leisure travellers by opening up more options to popular destinations. By placing our code on Virgin Atlantic flights, we make it easier for our customers to connect seamlessly through London Heathrow and enjoy a smooth travel experience,” said Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SAS.

The national airline of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, SAS operates a global hub at Copenhagen, complemented by hubs in Oslo and Sweden.
