Showcasing a little-known national park

African Parks has shared a short film that captures the beauty and biodiversity of Angola’s little-known Iona National Park. Situated in the south-west corner of Angola, the park constitutes the northern tip of the Namib Desert.

African Parks has partnered with the Angolan government since 2019 to protect the park, and facilitate tourism and conservation activities, including the reintroduction of various species of wildlife as well as community engagement projects.

The short film, captured by storyteller and travel guide Emma Badger, follows Mauro Michel, a local guide, who explains why no two journeys to the park are ever the same.
