Voortrekker Monument goes cashless

The heritage site in Pretoria is encouraging visitors to consider cashless payments.

The Voortrekker Monument Heritage Site (VTM) in Pretoria is going cashless. Management has implemented cashless systems at the monument site, The Monument Restaurant and the on-site gift shop, Die Afrikander.

Management at the VTM is hoping a cashless system will reduce queuing times and decrease risk for those visiting the site.

Cecilia Kruger, Managing Director, said visitors who only had cash would not be turned away but requested visitors to pay with a debit or credit card or buy tickets online.

Tickets can be purchased online here and can be paid for via card payment or an instant electronic funds payment.
