1TIME and Tempest Transfers have announced a joint initiative to provide a chauffeur drive service from the client’s front door to the airport terminal building. The service is also able to collect passengers from the airport and drop them off at any pre-defined location. Transfers are done using new Toyota Corollas for up to three passengers and Mercedes Vitos MPVs for between four and seven passengers. Rates range between R160 and R750 depending on vehicle type and distances travelled and are quoted per trip, regardless of whether one person is transferred or three. To book the service, a confirmed 1time reservation is needed and passengers must complete information on the airline’s web page. A Tempest Transfer agent will then follow up with a telephone call to confirm the booking. (Sue Lewitton)
