Air Seychelles adds flights over Easter holidays

Increased capacity adds 1 900 seats.

Air Seychelles will offer additional flights between Johannesburg and Seychelles in March and April, to increase capacity over the Easter holidays.

In addition to the current scheduled services on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays,

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the airline will add evening departures every Friday from Seychelles to Johannesburg. The extra flights will add 1 900 more seats per week in total between the two destinations, and special rates that are lower than the normal fare, commencing January 31, will be charged for these flights.

Charles Johnson, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Seychelles, said: “The enhancement to our schedule for the seven weeks will not only offer our guests more choice and greater flexibility when booking their travel during the peak Easter month, but it will also cater for travellers planning a quick weekend getaway to the largest city in South Africa, Johannesburg.”

Additional flights commence on March 15 and run until April 26, with the schedule as follows:

  • Seychelles-Johannesburg: departs Friday 18h25 and arrives 21h30
  • Johannesburg-Seychelles: departs Friday 22h30 and arrives next day at 05h25
