Arabella ceo resigns

THE ceo of Arabella South Africa, Stefan Braun, has resigned and plans to move into hotel and property development, although no details on his future career have been announced. Braun was originally appointed by the Schoerghuber Corporate Group, the shareholders of Arabella South Africa, six years ago to set up its SA interests. According to Braun, the pinnacle of his tenure with the group was to oversee the conceptualisation, design and development of five star ArabellaSheraton Grand Hotel Cape Town, which opened a little over a year ago. "I have achieved the company’s objective and feel that it is time for me to move on to new challenges. I have gained a wealth of experience in large hotel, leisure and real estate development projects and look forward to using these skills in my new ventures," said Braun. There is no immediate replacement for Braun, whose portfolio will be jointly managed in the interim by Arabella South Africa deputy ceo Riaan Gous and financial director Warren Hewitt.
