Arabella expands conference facilities to meet MICE demand

Arabella Hotel & Spa in Kleinmond, a member of the African Pride Hotels portfolio, will expand its conference facilities and restaurant following growing demand from the MICE industry and leisure travellers.

As part of the expansion, two 100 sqm conference rooms will be added, bringing the total number of meeting and conference rooms at the hotel to 13. The new rooms will each accommodate up to 72 delegates, or 162 delegates when combined. The rooms will be filled with natural light and equipped with built-in drop-down screens and data projectors. A foyer area will provide space for welcome drinks.

The Jamani restaurant will be expanded to accommodate greater numbers and will have sections that can be screened off for groups or specific events to lessen impact on other guests. The hotel’s  wine cellar will be converted into a specialised cold buffet and deli area servicing Jamani restaurant.

“We are receiving more and more requests for private dining – especially at our luxury hotel restaurants,” said Nicholas Barenblatt, Group Marketing Manager for African Pride Hotels. “It’s far more than just a trend, which is why a private dining venue has been added to Jamani restaurant as part of the expansion.”

The Jamani restaurant will be closed from August 26 to September 7, during which time breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in the hotel’s alternative food and beverage outlets. Work is expected to take six to eight weeks.
