FOLLOWING the announcement by the Tourism Grading Council (TGC) last week that a number of tourism sub-sectors are to be graded, including backpacker establishments, Backpacker Tourism South Africa (BTSA) will meet the TGC on December 6. The meeting is primarily to recommend a set of standards and requirements for backpackers throughout the country. Members of BTSA have been requested to forward any comments or suggestions to stumble@iafrica.com by December 5. (Adéle Mackenzie)
