Beijing International Tourism Expo

THE Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE) 2004 will take place from July 22 to 24 in Beijing, China and aims to promote both the Chinese inbound and outbound markets. BITE 2004 is co-organized by Singapore based Conference & Exhibition Management Services and the Beijing Tourism Group. The Business Matchmaking Program (BMP) will enable members of the industry to pre-schedule one-to-one appointment sessions, to facilitate direct communication between buyers and sellers to develop partnerships and ventures. China’s outbound tourism market saw a substantial increase in 2002, reaching 16,6 million, up about 36.84% from the previous year. The State Council has approved 22 countries and regions, one of which is South Africa, to be tourism destinations for Chinese citizens, making China the biggest source of tourists in Asia.
