&Beyond has announced the addition of Benguerra Island Lodge in the Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique, to its portfolio.
Effective immediately, the company will take over the management, marketing, and reservations of the lodge, which will be renamed &Beyond Benguerra Island.
“&Beyond Benguerra Island will complete our Southern African lodge circuit,” said Joss Kent, &Beyond Group CEO. “The acquisition also opens up a new region for &Beyond and we look forward to sharing the natural wonders of Mozambique with our guests.”
The move marked a new growth phase for &Beyond and was part of the company’s lodge investment strategy, which also involved extensive lodge rebuilds under way at &Beyond’s lodges in Kenya and Botswana, the company stated. &Beyond Benguerra Island is scheduled for a refurbishment project during 2014.
