THE US government has launched another travel warning against Kenya, warning Americans to avoid the country because of fears of terrorism, reports the daily Nation newspaper. The alert once again places Kenya on the ‘don’t go’ list and brackets the country with over 25 others, including Zimbabwe, Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria and Algeria. Despite the US warnings, Nairobi has hosted a series of international meetings over the last few months, says the report, and the proliferation of international conferences has also led to a boom for the tourism industry. Most hotels are also reporting an increase in business. (Dorine Berger)
