CHARLES Forsyth, BA gm for East and Southern Africa and Indian Ocean Islands will be leaving South Africa in the next few months and is to be replaced by Steve Harrison from April 1. This change was made as part of BA’s current restructuring process with plans to cut a third of its management team by March 31. Forsyth previously said that he was participating in a review in London but was confident he would maintain his current position. According to British Airways, he is now finalising his next role with the airline. East and Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands will be incorporated into a single Africa commercial area.
