Bye-bye CTT

AN emotional but upbeat get-together is forecast for the 22nd and final annual general meeting of Cape Town Tourism (CTT) today.
The public is invited to hear future plans for tourism in the province and enjoy picnics and music and win prizes in a lucky draw, said CTT manager, Sheryl Ozinsky.
The CTT could be history after the new Unicity kicks in, she said, and it's important that interested parties know where that leaves the industry.
If indeed the CTT does become superfluous, Ozinsky says she may turn the CTT into a commercial enterprise after her contract expires next year "We can't just waste it. After July, the CTT board will cease to exist."
