Chance to bid farewell to industry stalwart

GAUTENG-based Holiday Africa had planned to have an official farewell for well-known industry personality, Sylvia Walle, terminally ill with cancer, to honour the huge contribution she has made over the years both to the company and to the industry at large. However, her condition is rapidly deteriorating and her last meeting with friends and colleauges, past and present, had to be cancelled due to her move to Port Elizabeth to be with her family. "As a result of her condition, very few people have had the chance to say their farewells," says Holiday Africa's Carol Lees. "We feel that the best way to do this would be to ask those who would like to, to kindly send me their farewell message - either by e-mail, fax or letter. We will include all these messages in an album and forward this to her for her family to read to her." Messages should be sent to Holiday Africa by today for inclusion in the album. "In addition, Sylvia has asked us to let everyone know that she is very grateful to all those who have sent her messages of support during the past few months."
