City of Cape Town to grow responsible tourism

The City of Cape Town will host two workshops to promote the role of responsible tourism as a catalyst for positive economic change as part of the World Cup legacy project.

Of particular interest is the fact that community- and culture-based tourism experiences were in high demand during the tournament, which correlates with information from international tourism statistics that anticipate considerable growth in these market sectors.

The first session will be held on August 5 at the Atlantic Beach hotel, Melkbosstrand, and the second at Makazi's guest house in Khayelitsha on August 10.

The sessions will run from 08h30-15h00. Spaces are limited and can be booked by email at letitia@djec.co.za.
