COMING SOON: TravelHub becomes Tourism Update Online

It is two years since we launched TravelHub (www.travelhub.co.za) and the number of qualified inbound trade readers who receive the news each working day has grown to a remarkable 6 000.

Next month we will be launching a new site integrating our print and eBook title, Southern African Tourism Update, with TravelHub, both of which are published by Now Media, Johannesburg.

Tourism Update Online will make it easy for TravelHub readers to get the digital version of SA Tourism Update as well as the regular daily news that has built up such a loyal following.

The digital eBook edition of SA Tourism Update offers readers the benefit of immediacy and advertisers a bonus reach.

The number of readers in SA and abroad who downloaded the digital edition shows advertisers received an additional readership over and above the circulation of the printed edition of some 15%. This is expected to double in the next four months.

With the daily news now firmly established in the trade and coinciding with the second anniversary of TravelHub, from August SA Tourism Update will be published six times a year in print and digital form.

If there are three things we’d like you to remember this week, they are:

1. Register for the SA Tourism Update Digital eBook edition at www.tourismupdate.co.za
2. From July 1, TravelHub will be relaunched and renamed Tourism Update Online, merging the two sites into one super news site for the travel trade.
3. From August, SA Tourism Update will be published in print six times a year.

For a sneak preview of what you can expect, see the ‘page peel’ on the top left corner of the TravelHub site. These changes have been made to simplify the existing TravelHub site and enhance your news reading experience.
