De Lille explores India partnerships

South Africa’s Minister of Tourism, Patricia de Lille, visited India from August 18-23 for a series of engagements aimed at strengthening tourism ties, exploring new partnerships and enhancing connectivity between India and South Africa.

In Delhi, she met with Jyotsna Suri, Chairperson and MD of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, to discuss potential opportunities for greater collaboration across the hospitality sector of both countries.

Engagements included filming a video highlighting the shared passion for cricket and South Africa’s Electronic Travel Authorisation.

The video will highlight cricket ahead of the upcoming Men’s Cricket World Cup in South Africa in 2027.

De Lille also met with Air India to explore potential partnerships to strengthen air access between India and South Africa.

De Lille also travelled to Jaipur for the BRICS Tourism Ministers’ Meeting as well as a series of bilateral engagements with tourism counterparts from multiple countries.
