CONSTRUCTION is on track for the scheduled October 2002 opening of Shamwari Game Reserve's fifth new upmarket lodge, Eagles Cragg. As the first lodge to be built "from the ground" in the privately owned Eastern Cape reserve, Shamwari is spending in excess of one million rand per room. The nine double rooms will each have a private deck and a plunge pool with an uninterrupted view of the bush. Other facilities will include a wellness spa, dining area, business centre, lounge and bar. (Adéle Mackenzie)
