Elewana Collection expands family offerings

Elewana Collection has expanded its family safari programmes across selected lodges in Tanzania and Kenya.

At Tortilis Amboseli Camp in Kenya, Tarangire Treetops in Tanzania and Elsa’s Kopje in Kenya’s Meru National Park, children aged three and above can learn about traditional spear-making and throwing.

Children at Loisaba Tented Camp can go on evening scorpion searches where they are taught about the nocturnal wildlife and how to move around safely after dark.

At Elsa’s Kopje, children will hear the story of Elsa the lioness and the history of conservation at the lodge. Guests can then enjoy an outdoor movie screening under the stars.

At Kifaru House in Kenya and The Manor at Ngorongoro in Tanzania, young guests can help harvest vegetables and herbs from the kitchen’s gardens, which are then prepared by the chefs for the evening meal.

At all of the properties, children over four receive a Wildlife Warrior backpack with an activity pack and a bottle.

Elewana is also introducing family-specific amenities, including bed rails and child-friendly toilet seats. Game drives can also be adapted around sleep schedules or individual needs.
