Franschhoek has seen the doors of the luxury La Rive Franschhoek villa open for exclusive, private bookings.
In the heart of the Cape Winelands village, La Rive is a privately owned Cape manor house, in walking distance of boutique restaurants and quaint shopping spaces.
The manor house was created in a Colonial English meets traditional Cape Dutch style, and showcases a collection by artists from across the globe. It accommodates up to 12 guests in six luxurious suites, each with a private bathroom. Suites have a spacious master bedroom suite, two loft rooms and three private garden cottages.
Inside the manor house is a spacious living area with high thatched ceiling and doors opening on to the gardens and a protected pool terrace. An indoor wood-burning fireplace, grand piano, TV room and fully equipped integrated kitchen staffed by a professional chef, complete the luxurious interior.
Outdoors, guests can enjoy poolside barbecue areas and a pizza oven; and a landscaped garden that features rolling lawns, Koi ponds, a vegetable garden, and water features.
Part of the La Rive Portfolio, the manor house works on seasonal rates that range from R42 000 to R58 000 per night, including a full breakfast and all beverages (except French Champagne), butler service and WiFi.
