Fastjet’s sixth Tanzanian route, between Kigoma and Dar es Salaam, went on sale today, January 29, with the first flight scheduled for March 1.
The new route will be operated by an Embraer E190 aircraft, with flights departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flight FN131 will depart Dar es Salaam at 14h30 and arrive in Kigoma at 16h15. Flight FN132 will depart Kigoma at 16h45 and arrive in Dar es Salaam at 18h40.
The flight will be only jet service between the two destinations, with prices starting at TZS 123 000 (R655).
“Last year the company replaced its fleet in Tanzania as part of its redevelopment plan,” said fastjet Tanzania spokesperson, Lucy Mbogoro. “Similar to the mobile phone industry, low-cost airlines have made it easier for people to connect, friends and family to stay in touch and companies and entrepreneurs to do business more affordably.”
