THE first wholly owned South African cruise ship, the MV Madagascar, is due to arrive in South African waters in Durban tomorrow (October 29). Indian Ocean Cruises recently purchased the M.V Madagascar, which has 93 cabins and can accommodate 225 passengers. Cruising operations will start on November 11 and will be managed and marketed by the Three Cities Group. The group aims to sell 70 cruises per annum, including voyages to destinations such as Mozambique, Mombasa and Madagascar. (Dorine Berger)
