GOLD Reef City Casino, based in Johannesburg, set a new record in the history of multi-million rand payouts over the past weekend when no less than three people hit the million rand jackpot. The first jackpot of R1,4m was won on Friday night, re-set at a million rand and then won less than 24 hours later. In the early hours of Sunday morning, a third winner hit the million rand jackpot. Senior marketing manager for the casino, Markus Prader, said that while the casino was amazed at the three big wins in as many days, "it just goes to show that a big win can happen at any time".
