Humans are very strongly wired to obey signs. Even silly things like a picture of two eyes near your till will significantly decrease what you lose in petty cash theft. Drive your green initiatives through clearly printed, official-looking and friendly signs around the building. A ‘please recycle’ sign next to the printer or ‘please save water’ sign in the bathrooms will keep green initiatives top of mind without having to waste time on endless memos and meeting reminders.
