Great Plains announces opening of second Masai Mara camp

Great Plains Conservation has announced the opening of its second camp in the greater Masai Mara ecosystem, Mara Toto Camp.

The exclusive, seasonal camp is located just inside the central northern boundary of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. No cement was used in the construction of Mara Toto Camp, ensuring a minimal footprint.

The camp hosts five luxury tents designed specifically to have minimal impact on the environment. Each tent has different décor but all follow the theme of campaign and exploration.

The tents are en-suite and include flush loos, bucket showers and plumbed water.  Mara Toto also has a guide tent for private guides.

Activities include game drives (day only), visits to the local school and community projects supported by Mara Toto and visits to traditional homesteads. Mara Toto also has two Canon EOS 50D cameras with 100-400mm and wide-angle macros lenses, which are available to guests on a first-come, first-use basis.
