International trade centre for JIA

JOHANNEBURG International Airport (JIA) has announced the development of an international trade bureau at the airport to be known as the Johannesburg International Trade Bureau (JITB). The JITB will cater for the business needs of the more than 1,2 million international business visitors who use JIA annually. The development is a joint venture between Airports Company South Africa (Acsa), Nafcoc (National African Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry) Gauteng and the International Trade Bureau (ITB). Similar trade centres exist in 308 locations in 101 countries around the world, all serving as business facilitation hubs that enhance the services of private and public sector organisations, promoting international trade. The initiative will officially be announced at a press conference tomorrow (Wednesday). (Miguel de Sousa)
