Chef Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen will open Le Bistrot de JAN at the newly renovated InterContinental Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront this December.
The announcement follows the success of the first Le Bistrot de JAN, which opened in Nice a year ago.
The new Cape Town restaurant will combine French bistro culture with South African flavour, overlooking Table Mountain from the city’s harbourfront. The space will offer casual dining, cocktails and live jazz.
Van der Westhuizen said: “Le Bistrot de JAN is a space where people can lose themselves in the moment, so it’s a perfect fit for a city that thrives on a balance of energy and ease.
