AFTER being closed for the winter season in April for renovations and refurbishments, the Lake Pleasant Hotel in Knysna, Western Cape, will re-open on October 1 this year. Management says the hotel will still maintain its historical charm of the original 1840 Manor House. The five star property will consist of 29 luxury twin rooms, four duplex suites overlooking the lake, two manor suites with large balconies overlooking the lake, a restaurant, a ladies bar, a rim-flow pool, and a fully equipped spa. The hotel is nearby a bird sanctuary, beaches and the adjacent Goukamma Nature and Marine Reserve. For golf enthusiasts, Sparrebosch and Fancourt golf courses are 15 and 30 minutes away respectively.
